The College of Arts and Humanities is offering several scholarship opportunities to support student success, giving up to $1000 to recipients. Students are encouraged to contact their respective programs to find out about additional scholarship opportunities.
Applicants for this scholarship must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student with a declared major in the UCF College of Arts and Humanities and a minimum 3.7 overall GPA. The deadline to apply is March 16, 2020 by 5PM.
Requirements:
- Letter of intent, between 750 and 1000 words explaining how a degree from the UCF College of Arts and Humanities expands your understanding of one or more of the following areas: diversity, cultural awareness, freedom of expression, or tolerance.
- Two letters of recommendation. Letters of recommendation should address the applicant’s character and work ethic. One letter must be from a CAH faculty member.
James and Brooke Harhi Endowed Scholarship for First-Generation CAH Students
Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student with a declared major in the UCF College of Arts and Humanities, as well as a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicants must be the first in his or her immediate family to attend college. The deadline to apply is March 16, 2020 by 5PM.
Requirements:
- Letter of intent between 750-1000 words. In the letter, talk about being a first-generation college student, and connect your objectives and professional goals to your education in the College of Art and Humanities.
- Two letters of recommendation. One letter must be from a CAH faculty member. Letters of recommendation should address the applicant’s character and work ethic.
To apply for these scholarships, log onto myUCF, navigate to Student Self Service > Scholarship Application > Add a New Application, find the name(s) of the scholarship and click on their respective link.
Awards only apply to credits taken at UCF College of Arts and Humanities. Awards and scholarships are considered a resource and must be included as a part of a student’s financial aid cost of attendance. If a scholarship exceeds your financial cost of attendance, a reduction to your financial aid may occur.
