Congratulations to Arlene Flores from the School of Performing Arts on being named the USPS Employee of the Month for April 2020.
Arlene is the Administrative Assistant in the School of Performing Arts. Her nominators, Michael Wainstein, Director of the School of Performing Arts and Thomas Harrison, Associate Director of the School of Performing Arts, had this to say about her:
“For over 20 years, Arlene has been giving of her time and energy to UCF. She is a strong supporter of the faculty and other staff and daily lives the values of integrity and excellence. The school has made many changes over the past two years and Arlene has been central in managing those changes and working with faculty to make the changes easier.
She has many assets but her most remarkable trait is the way she presents an optimistic and positive face to students and faculty. Nothing fazes her. She consistently sets a positive and upbeat tone which is infections.“
As USPS Employee of the Month, Ms. Flores receives a $200 cash award, $25 from UCF Business Services and UCF Bookstore, her name in lights on the UCF campus marquee, and an introduction to the Board of Trustees. She is now eligible for the USPS Employee of the Year $2,500 award, announced at the UCF Knight Star Awards Program.
