February marked the beginning of Black History Month, which honors the contributions of the Black community throughout America’s history.
Don Harrell, professor of Africana Studies at UCF, spoke with Ivanhoe Newswire about the significance of this month. “Black history is our history. Embrace it. It’s the truth that’ll set us free and we need to make sure that we unravel it, through constant study and recognition,” he said.
