John Almeida has been invited to present a clinic at the 64th Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago, IL. The event will take place Dec. 15–18, 2010. Mr. Almeida’s clinic is entitled “Sound Ideas on Playing the Trumpet” and will be presented on Friday morning Dec. 17. The clinic is designed to showcase teaching methods to assist middle and high school band directors, as well as, music education students with the development of beginning to advanced trumpet players. The Midwest Clinic annually attracts over 16,000 attendees from around the world. Mr. Almeida is the first full time UCF Music faculty member to have been invited to present a clinic at this international program.
