“Garcia’s flute made its presence known — particularly when floating over the strings in the gentle lullaby of Bach’s Arioso from Cantata 156, a sort of palate cleanser between the two longer works.

On Saturday’s Mozart concerto, Garcia’s lightness of tone lifted the orchestra along with her notes, until an end just as lilting as one would want.”
