Best known for his unique photo-based sculptural installations that have been exhibited in galleries and museums nationally and internationally, Brooks Dierdorff’s latest exhibition opens at the Casselberry Sculpture House on February 11.
Shining a light on the growing global “Rights of Nature” movement, Dierdorff’s work explores the ways in which media like photography and video shape our cultural imagination of environmental collapse. Through the use of a variety of methodologies, he invites the viewer to engage with photographs in sensory and emotive ways.
Dierdorff is an associate professor of photography in UCF’s School of Visual Arts and Design. His solo exhibition will be on view at the Casselberry Sculpture House from now until April 30.
