Peter Weishar, professor and director of the Themed Experience programs at UCF, spoke with InPark Magazine about the strides he is making in bringing formal education in themed experience to students at UCF.
When asked why formal academic training is important in the themed experience industry, Weishar responded that graduates from themed experience and design programs “enter the field with focus, knowledge of the industry and pertinent skills,” and “they understand the history and context of the business they’re entering.”
“We are doing our best to make Themed Experience a robust and active academic discipline,” Weishar said.
