The bell hooks Reading Room in Trevor Colbourn Hall, suite 348B, was organized recently by Ms. Lillyan Ratcliffe, who earned her BA and MA in History from Stetson and APUS respectively. Ms. Ratcliffe is graduating with a Masters in Library Science  from USF in Spring 2019.

Lillyan was supervised by UCF librarian Kristine Shrauger, Department Head for Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Service. Lillyan had the task of organizing hundreds of books belonging to the permanent collection for the UCF Women’s and Gender Studies program. The bell hooks Reading Room is open 8-5 Monday-Friday. The space is a quiet area for students or faculty to study and meet. Visitors are welcome to browse and read from the selection and WGST hopes to have a check-out system in place in the future.
