Ceramicist and studio art professor Robert Reedy has been chosen for the Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens’ winter exhibition. Entitled “Robert Reedy: Revival,” the exhibition will run from November 3, 2020 to April 11, 2021, both in person at the Winter Park location and online at polasek.org.

Reedy is an Orlando-based contemporary American artist whose career spans 40 years and works in several mediums – painting, prints, mixed media assemblage, and ceramics. He is a professor of art at UCF where he developed the Advanced Design Lab program to partner businesses with design students.

Reedy’s work and life is shaped by his childhood in rural Mississippi and its traditions of storytelling, family, and faith. This exhibition will be a showcase of the wide-ranging talent of a top local artist.

“This exhibition offers a look into the creative mind of Robert Reedy. We are delighted to exhibit a selection of his work, demonstrating his mastery of various mediums,” said Polasek Museum curator Emily Coughlan.

Exhibitions at the Polasek Museum are usually accompanied by programs such as lectures, presentations, family open house days, workshops, or classes. Due to COVID-19 programs may be offered online instead of in-person. Please visit polasek.org for more details.

This exhibition is made possible by support from Dr. Phillips Charities, United Arts of Central Florida, the Florida Division of Cultural Affairs, and the City of Winter Park.
