UCF Sophomore, Joshua Toler (Music Performance, Trumpet), has been accepted to the final round of the Chicago Brass Festival Solo Competition held March 13-14 at Northeastern Illinois University, Chicago.
Solo finalists were selected from an international recorded preliminary round and will compete in a live final round performance on Saturday March 14th in Chicago.
The 7th annual Chicago Brass Festival will showcase world renown talent in performance and masterclasses, as well as finalists for the 2015 Brass Solo Competition. The founder of the Chicago Brass Festival, Dr. Travis Heath, is a UCF graduate and trumpet professor at NEIU. Dr. Heath is also a recipient of the UCF Professional Achievement Award.
