Photographer/videographer

The photographer/videographer produces images and videos that help tell the College of Arts & Humanities story. The primary responsibilities of the photographer/videographer will be to capture student life and academic events using a DSLR camera, edit and organize the assets, and prepare them for publication. Media assets will be used for recruitment, community engagement and fundraising on college and department websites, social media, advertising campaigns, printed publications and elsewhere as needed.

The ideal candidate must have digital photography and videography experience and the ability to edit images and video clips. Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud apps and Premier Pro is preferred. Candidates must have flexible hours to accommodate events scheduled throughout the day, evening or weekends. Schedules are generally based on a per-assignment basis rather than weekly and will be set around the academic schedule.

  • Maintain media asset library for College of Arts and Humanities
  • Schedule appointments and locations for shoots
  • Creatively capture student life, university events, academic settings, facilities, and general campus life through photos in line with the UCF brand
  • Editing, naming, and organizing photo/video files
  • Edit and create videos, including: story boarding, working with editing software, captioning, and graphic elements
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred qualifications:

  • Current UCF student
  • Experience in digital photography and videography
  • Experience editing photos using Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, and editing videos with Adobe Premiere.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and complete assignments with tight deadlines.
  • Interact with and convey a positive attitude to visitors and the campus community.
  • Must be dependable and punctual.

Position starts at $12/hour, for 10-20 hours per week.
