This summer, the UCF School of Performing Arts will offer a wide range of music summer camps for students of all skill levels. Registration is open now through June–July, with deadlines varying from camp to camp. Summer camps accommodate both commuting students and resident students, with on-campus housing available for an additional cost. Additionally, a 15 percent discount is available for families with more than one student.

Brass Camp: July 6–9, 2022

Early registration tuition: $240 for 4 days, $60 per day by May 1, 2022
Regular tuition: $300 for 4 days, $75 per day by July 1, 2022

The UCF Brass Camp will focus on the fundamental principles of brass performance. This will include covering technique, tone production, and the literature for All-State. Students will participate in chamber groups, masterclasses, and instrumental choirs.

Flute Boot Camp: June 17–19, 2022

Early registration tuition: $200 by May 1, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.
Regular tuition: $250 by June 1, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.

Flute Boot Camp is a three-day, intensive program designed to educate and inspire young flutists. Daily masterclasses and individual coaching appointments provide continual and concentrated input from faculty. In addition to the daily curriculum, guest artists will give classes to the students. Camp also features exercises and instruction in yoga and nutrition.

Percussion Summer Institute: July 10–16, 2022

Early registration tuition: $450 by April 1, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.
Regular tuition: $550 by June 1, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.

UCF’s Percussion Summer Institute offers a unique opportunity to study closely with UCF percussion faculty Thad Anderson, percussionist, composer, and contemporary/electroacoustic music specialist; Kirk Gay, world-class timpanist and orchestral musician; and Jeff Moore, internationally recognized percussion clinician, lecturer, and soloist. Additional guest artists and faculty will be announced in the near future.

Sax Boot Camp: June 17–19, 2022

Early registration tuition: $200 by May 1, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.
Regular tuition: $250 by June 1, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.

UCF’s Sax Boot Camp is a three-day, intensive program designed to educate and inspire young saxophonists. Daily masterclasses will provide continual and concentrated input from George Weremchuk. In addition to the daily curriculum, guest artists will lead classes.

Summer Flute & Piccolo Institute: June 20–24, 2022

Early registration tuition: $400 by May 1, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.
Regular tuition: $475 by June 1, 2022 at 11:59 p.m

UCF’s Summer Flute & Piccolo Institute is a one-week intensive program designed to educate and inspire young flutists through an interesting and cultivating curriculum that examines many aspects of flute performance.

Summer String Camp: June 12–18, 2022

Early registration tuition: $300 by May 1, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.
Regular tuition: $350 by June 1, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.

UCF Summer String Camp is a one-week, intensive program designed to educate and inspire young string players. Full day camp is for grades 7-12 with a rigorous and stimulating curriculum. Skills covered will include string technique (improving intonation, vibrato, set-up) and musicianship (foundations of rhythm, sight singing and theory). Instruments covered in this camp are violin, viola, ’cello, double bass.
