T&T faculty, Scot French, presented his latest work on text-mining and topic modeling of the Florida Historical Quarterly at the Southern Historical Association annual meeting in Atlanta, Nov. 14. As part of the SHA workshop, “Computers, Visualization, and Regional History: New Approaches to Visualizing the Literature of a Field,” French included examples of student projects from his Digital Tools for Historians (HIS 6165) graduate seminar. His FHQ project collaborator, David Staley, presented on “Hermeneutics through Material Form: Sculpture as Scholarly Performance in Digital History.”
