Join our team! The UCF School of Performing Arts is seeking a part-time assistant box office manager.

Job Description:

In the absence of the Box Office Manager, serve as manager on duty at performances/events. Coordinate with the Box Office Manager for sales reports, maintain lobby areas, Daytime Box Office and other duties as assigned by the Box Office Manager and/or Marketing Team.

Job Duties May Include:

  • Supervision of student house manager, box office staff, and ushers
  • Pulling ticket sales and cash reconciliation reports for the event
  • Unlocking/Locking the theatre building following theatre performances
  • Maintaining safe and clean public facing spaces in theatre, lobby, etc.
  • Assisting with escalated ticketing/seating/customer service issues
  • Communicating with the stage management team for theatre performances, or faculty member running the music concert/event, to ensure a smooth performance
  • Implementing and overseeing crowd control/emergency procedures if needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent with 1+ year of Relevant Experience
  • Previous experience with a ticketing system or Box Office preferred
  • Ability to manage a Front of House Team
  • Experience with Outlook Mail, Adobe, Excel
  • Experience in a performing arts setting/environment

Monday-Friday 12–5 p.m. (avg. 20 hours/week; not to exceed 29 hours); sometimes weekends and evenings (locations of work: Orlando – Main Campus (primarily), Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, or other areas as assigned).
