M.F.A. in Studio Art and the Computer graduate student Bryce Hammond’s painting will be featured at Verge Art Brooklyn Art Fair, March 3–6 during Armory Week 2011 in New York. Verge Art Brooklyn is a highly competitive national art fair juried by a panel of distinguished arts professionals, curators and art critics. This year Verge Art Brooklyn features 70 gallery exhibiters and forty participants from international galleries and independent artists located at nine venues throughout Brooklyn.
Bryce Hammond is in his first year in the M.F.A. in Studio Art & the Computer Program. He is also a student in the ART 5811–The Professional Practice in Art, a fully online class developed and taught by Elizabeth Brady Robinson. ART 5811 students learn professional practices to enter the national art market. This exhibition is a result of a midterm project requiring students in ART 5811 to research and apply to a national competitive juried exhibition. Bryce’s application to Verge Art Brooklyn was accepted among a high number of national and international applicants. His work will be featured to a large audience of collectors, curators, and art critics and arts patrons during Armory Week 2011 in New York City, one of the largest art fairs in the nation.

Bryce Hammond will be present during his exhibition in at Verge Brooklyn in New York. He is also curating a national exhibition titled “Looking Back, Trudging Forward” at B-Complex in Atlanta, Georgia opening, March 11.
