Alumni of the B.S. in Photography program are featured at the John C. Hitt Library gallery on UCF’s Main Campus. Each of the alumni’s work will be exhibited for the duration of November. In addition, several of the featured alumnus’ works are currently on view in Gallery 202 at Daytona State College; the rest will be on view in Spring ’24. This collaborative exhibition showcases the photographic works of UCF’s A.S. to B.S. photography program partnership with Daytona State College.

Featured Alumni:

The Bachelor of Science in Photography degree program provides a balanced photographic education by incorporating strong technical, creative and critical skills to empower our graduates for lifelong success in a variety of professional photographic fields. The UCF B.S. in Photography is a 2+2 degree program in partnership with Daytona State College’s A.S. in Photographic Technology program. Both programs are located on the UCF Eastern Region campus at Daytona State College and occupy a two-story, fifty-six thousand square foot building with state of the art studio, computer, darkroom, and classroom facilities.

“The 2+2 partnership between DSC and UCF has produced photographers who have competed and succeeded as leaders and innovators in the professional world,” says Steven Spencer, UCF’s B.S. in Photography Program Coordinator. “Building on the tradition of excellence at DSC and the Southeast Museum of Photography, our B.S. in Photography graduates have proven themselves in the professional and post-graduate world. UCF alumni have established themselves in business as photographers, videographers, production assistants, curators, educators, and editors with companies such as Getty Images, HBOPrestige Magazine Hong Kong, Milk Studios, the Mayo Clinic, USA Today, the Houston Chronicle, NBC Sports Golf Channel, NASCAR, and the Atlantic Center for the Arts. Alumni of the UCF B.S. in Photography degree program have also established their own successful businesses locally, regionally, and nationally in the fields of editorial, fashion, portrait, commercial, and wedding photography.”
