Si Jung Jun Kim gave a keynote speech, “Affective Media Design from the Cognitive Perspectives,” at the 1st International Workshop on Emotional Materials and Components. The workshop was a two-day event held June 27-28, 2013 in Seoul, South Korea.
Approximately one thousand people attended the conference which covered topics in emotional engineering such as affective computing and Kansei engineering.
Kim, an Assistant Professor of Digital Media in UCF’s School of Visual Arts and Design, focuses on research and development in design. He is currently developing a collaborative project on emotional material design with the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology.
