UCF MFA Film graduate Zachary Beckler who directed “Interior” and “Where is Alice?” will be premiering both films at four locations this October. “Interior” and “Where is Alice?” will be showing at the Orlando Freak Show Horror Film Festival, Atlanta Horror Film Festival, Knoxville Horror Film Festival and Atlanta Horror Film Festival (see show dates and times below).
Beckler says that, “‘Interior’ and ‘Where is Alice?’ were both produced on micro-budgets during my time at UCF. I am excited to start my festival run and could not have made these films without the resources offered by the film program, the guidance I received from the faculty, and the relationships I gained along the way. ‘Interior,’ which was produced for $11,500, stars fellow SVAD Film BFA Graduate Christopher Carullo and was photographed by SVAD Senior Broadcast Technologist Jonathan Bowen.”
Lisa Peterson, SVAD Associate Instructor and Film Area Coordinator, adds that “Zack is a ‘favorite son’ of our program. He excelled here as an undergraduate, was one of our pioneering MFA students and continues to make us proud as a professional in the field. He was an exceptional teacher and I personally hope he continues to share that gift.”
“Interior” (MFA Feature Film) is playing at the Freak Show Horror Film Festival in Orlando on October 26th at 12:00pm and at the Atlanta Horror Film Festival on October 31st at 7:00pm.
“Where is Alice?” (BFA Short Film) is playing at the Knoxville Horror Film Festival on October 25th in Shorts Block 6 and at the Atlanta Horror Film Festival on October 30th in Shorts Program 2.
